The BNP Paribas Open is a Masters 1000 tournament that has become one of the iconic events in tennis. Also known as Tennis Paradise, this tournament perfectly combines the biggest names in tennis with stunning surrounding and an electric atmosphere. Even non-tennis fans will love it!

Palm Desert Food and Wine Festival
This event at the end of March brings together some of the most exciting chefs in America for 4 days of incredible food, mouthwatering wine and live cooking demonstrations. They usually have a huge range of events on from cheese workshops to wine paired dinners to celebrity chef receptions so be sure to look through the programme well in advance!
White Party Palm Springs
With an average of 30,000 attendees every year, White Party Palm Springs is widely seen as the largest LGBTQ+ dance party in the world. Featuring DJs, live performances, pool parties, and more in iconic venues across the city, this event brings vibes that cannot be matched.
Other Things To Do In Palm Springs in March
Joshua Tree National Park
With cooler weather than the height of summer and fewer crowds, March is the perfect time to explore Joshua Tree National Park. It is also the time when wildflowers begin to bloom which adds a whole new dimension to the landscape.
Palm Springs Aerial Tramway
Taking the cable car from the desert up into the mountains is one of the best things to do in Palm Springs. The weather is usually much cooler at the top of the tramway and in March there’s still a chance you’ll see some snow at the top, so make sure you wrap up warm! Book your tickets in advance here.
Brunch or Happy Hour in Downton Palm Springs
Palm Springs is known for it’s great brunch and bar options and March is a great time to get reservations easily whilst also enjoying the outdoor terraces. Boozehounds and Farm are great for brunch while Seymour’s, Bootleggers and Bar Cecil are all great cocktail spots. There are also several brewery tap rooms on the main street if that’s more your vibe.
Explore the Architecture
Palm Springs is known for its iconic mid-century buildings and just walking around the residential areas can be an activity in itself. Check out the Indian Canyons neighbourhood to the South for the most iconic houses, but be sure to be respectful of the locals on their homes!
